Some of my fellow puzzlers reading this are wondering why I am spending so much time writing about the Durango to Silverton train, please allow me to explain. When I first saw the steam powered locomotive in this puzzle picture, I thought about my ride on the Durango to Silverstone train.

I loved putting this puzzle together and as I did, the steam locomotives that I had the pleasure of riding began to come alive in my memory. 

In the puzzle picture the focal point is the distant view of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It also includes a small group of old storefronts where flowers, bread, fruits, and other products are sold. There are also two sidewalk cafes.

In the photo of the puzzle below you will see a gentleman dressed in a black suit looking at a painting in what appears to be an art museum. It is the second picture from the bottom on the far right side. It is a self portrait of Carl Larsson painted in 1895.

There is a beautiful, shiny 1930’s green pickup truck loaded with fruits, vegetables and flowers parked in front of the general store. I imagine that the truck belongs to the older gentleman sitting in a chair in front of the store who has brought his products to the General Store to sell to customers who stop at the store. 

The names of the provinces are large and there are many smaller pictures of what that particular provinces is famous for inserted into in the names of the provinces. It was a fun puzzle to put together and brought back many great memories of my trips through Canada. 

Van Gogh was commercially unsuccessful during his lifetime and considered a madman and a failure. As he only became famous after his suicide, he came to be seen as a misunderstood genius in the public mind.

I am fascinated with covered bridges. Building these covered bridges was a work of art. Very few workers back in the day had the skill sets to construct covered bridges. The existence of covered bridges in Georgia can be mostly traced back to Horace King. 

When I was growing up my dad always had several hunting dogs running loose around our farm. I once found a pet white rabbit that had been abandoned in the field where I was hunting for wild rabbits with my B B gun. Instead of shooting it, I captured it and took it home.
