A Magical "Village Tree" Lights Up the Town

My latest holiday puzzle is a 500-piece titled Village Tree by Persis Clayton Weirs. Before I spend time putting a puzzle together, I must have some sort of connection to it. My connection to this puzzle is my love for Christmas and how the idea of Christmas is displayed.
As you know, Christ is the reason for the season. Christians believe it is the birthday of Jesus and the scene in the puzzle displays a small town’s celebration of Christmas.
This puzzle is titled Village Tree because of the beautiful tree decorated for Christmas. There is a lot of activity in the puzzle scene. A horse drawn sled with people riding in it, and a large black dog walking in front of the horse and sled. The scene in the puzzle is set in the early evening because you can see the sun setting behind the large church steeple and the businesses and homes in the scene have lights on.
The puzzle scene is well thought out and it is welcoming visitors to visit and enjoy the town. Within the plethora of snow there are activities going on such as ice skating and shopping at the attractively decorated businesses.
The tree is decorated with lights, candles, and what appears to be strings of popcorn. The pole lights add a festive atmosphere to the scene.
As I looked at the finished puzzle I was impressed with the tree and how it was decorated. It is a very tall tree and would require a mechanized lift to put all the decorations on it. Having said this, I would have loved to be at the location watching as the tree came to life when the lights were finally turned on. I am sure the people responsible for how this tree was decorated were proud of their work as they should be.
